A Guadalupe County Sheriff's deputy patrol unit sits in front of Jefferson Elementary after local law enforcement and police were called to the campus for reports of a gun fired on a school bus.

A student found cocaine in an elementary school desk prompting an investigation and disciplinary measures Wednesday in Seguin.

The child found drugs at Jefferson Elementary School in the Seguin ISD and turned over the substance to staff before school personnel contacted the police, Jefferson Principal Maria Guerra said in a letter sent to parents Wednesday morning.
