OLG FESTIVAL, 5-11 p.m. June 8, 5 p.m.-midnight June 9-10, Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St.

Summertime is fair and festival season, and local residents can come out and enjoy one of the best of the year at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. Get your adrenaline pumping on the carnival rides, or test your skills at the game booths. Volunteers will be serving up fair-time favorites such as elephant ears, strawberries and ice cream, and grilled burgers throughout the event.

There will be a grand raffle and quilt raffle, children's games, Monte Carlo, a beer tent and more over the three day event.

FOLKTALE GREENWOOD LIVE MUSIC, 5-9 p.m. June 9, 243 S. Madison Ave., Greenwood

The grounds at Folktale Greenwood is one of the nicest places in all of Johnson County — wooded and expansive, with great views of Old Town Greenwood. That makes it the perfect place for a night of good music, great food and more. That ’90s Band will be bringing all of the nostalgic hits, while organizers will have the Dashboard Food Truck on site, with drinks available from Folktale.

Seating is available but people may also bring your own chairs or blankets to relax on. Food starts being served at 5 p.m., with music starting at 7.
